Majors and their structure will be announced in advance to allow Members to make arrangements if necessary.
E. Standard Challenges.
Individual Members- or teams of two (2) to four (4) Members- may challenge other Members to a match- rules/scores will be set by the players involved and played according to team size and the winning team will receive an additional two (2) points.
Any Member who is challenged has the option to accept or decline the challenge.
IF the challenge is accepted then that scorecard MUST be entered for each Member participating in the challenge.
F. Fun Challenges.
As fun challenges will vary and not be designed with ranking points in mind, should a Member decide to submit a scorecard from a fun challenge they will only be eligible to gain three (3) points for participating in the challenge, ten (10) points for a hole-in-one, and two (2) points for winning the challenge.
G. Personal Best.
Initial personal best for each Member will be established using the best score from their first four (4) rounds of Solo Play.
Members may play their four (4) Solo Play rounds as fast as they like and may submit multiple Solo Play scorecards in a week while establishing their initial Personal Best only.
H. Handicaps.
Madam Scribe shall keep track of a handicap of your League scores.
a. Handicaps will be established beginning with an average of a Member’s first four (4) solo rounds. Once a Member has played nine (9) or more solo rounds their handicap shall be taken using the average of their best eight (8) scores from their past twenty (20) rounds.
Each Member shall receive five (5) bonus points each time they break a new “handicap milestone”. There will be no punishment for falling below a milestone.
a. A “handicap milestone” is every number divisible by 5 (70, 65, 60, 55, etc. all the way down to 5).
b. Example: if there are two (2) players, one (1) moving from a 63 handicap to a 59 and one (1) from a 48 handicap to a 44 – both players would be awarded five (5) points for breaking the 60 and 45 milestones, respectively.
Any League Member with an established handicap of 30 or over will not be eligible for negative points from double bogies, etc. Players MUST have an established handicap to qualify for this exemption.
I. In the Inaugural Season (following seasons format TBD based on how this one works) initial rankings will be set by April 1 and updated every Sunday hereafter; The Season will end on October 31.
